The Technical Account Specialist works within a team to provide top-notch customer care and support, as well as implement all functions needed for the ongoing administration of the Energy Attributes department including Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (SRECs), Alternative Energy Certificates (AECs), and other Sustainability programs including the technical review and support necessary for our more advanced system installation and applications. This is a very data driven position with focus on processing data, as well as maintaining a growing database of customer profiles. This position reports to the Director of Operations. 


  • Oversees quarterly and annual production and payment reporting to customers, in collaboration with the finance team, gathering data from multiple points to generate final customer reports that must be meticulous and error-free; 
  • Completes regulatory documentation for customers in Department of Energy Resources and MassCEC PTS applications with detail-oriented accuracy; 
  • Offers technical review of documentation for system installation to ensure they meet all current state policies and program requirements with detail-oriented accuracy; 
  • Support business development opportunities with an expanding network of C&I partners, HVAC installers, and Property Management companies to maximize financial incentives available through state energy attribute programs; 
  • Support ongoing relationships with 2,000+ customers, ensuring quality control and high satisfaction across our SREC and AEC aggregation programs, with thorough support for customers’ questions regarding quarterly energy production and payments; 
  • Supports a growing base of C&I customers with technical system review of the more advanced systems for a variety of services and products offered by HPC; 
  • Helps streamline documentation and reporting, including automation as appropriate. 


  • 4+ years of data driven operations and administrative experience; highly skilled in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, and knowledge of online CRMs, and in the digital landscape 
  • Learns quickly and thinks critically to solve problems in a fast-paced environment while staying organized 
  • Excellent time-management skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate follow through on tasks and projects to meet deadlines 
  • Maintains harmonious working relationships with customers and staff 
  • Flexible and positive, takes initiative, and demonstrates good judgement, and follows through on tasks and projects to meet deadlines 
  • Knowledge of and interest in renewable energy technology
