A strong focus on customer service drives one of our newest employees, Community Shared Solar Account Specialist Melissa Rivera.
Melissa earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Communications from the University of Massachusetts. With a robust background in the energy industry and a passion for the energy transition, she has hit the ground running at Hampshire Power, helping customers understand the complexities of the Massachusetts Community Shared Solar program.
Melissa is a dedicated professional with over 20 years of combined experience in marketing, business administration, and customer service. She has demonstrated excellent communication skills as well as outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Her expertise was developed by managing multiple projects and tasks under high pressure with high attention to detail.
Before joining Hampshire Power, Melissa worked as a customer service representative at Columbia Gas of Massachusetts. In this position, Melissa demonstrated her ability to deal with challenging customer service issues and was responsible for resolving and following up on complex cases.
Melissa’s new role at Hampshire Power encompasses many of the same responsibilities she has handled with excellence in past positions: a combination of customer service, client onboarding and care, and marketing.
Melissa is part of a growing diverse team focused on energy transition.
