Hampshire Power is a Massachusetts Benefit Corporation whose mission is to help people, property owners, and organizations maximize and monetize renewable energy systems.
Hampshire Power believes that renewable energy should work for you by adding new lines of revenue while optimizing savings from energy efficiency. We work with our clients and partners to build transparent, interconnected, monitored, and fully monetized energy systems.
We are vertically integrated. In other words, we install, own, operate, and maximize a wide array of energy products and services. Todd Ford
President & CEO
Todd has a long history of building successful, profitable, and innovative solutions in energy and real estate. He brings over nine years in renewable energy leadership, entrepreneurialism, and creativity having served as the Executive Director of Hampshire Council of Governments, HCOG, where Todd founded or improved a wide variety of successful clean and retail energy services. Among those successes, Todd was among the first to initiate a highly successful Community Shared Solar sales and administration service that witnessed an 866% increase in revenue over two years serving 28 solar developments and other renewables. In addition, he founded and grew the SREC and AEC brokerage business that continues to expand into new markets and service territories. Todd also transformed HCOG’s retail supply business to create year over year growth, consistent profitability and service to over 90,000 electricity accounts.
Before leading HCOG, Todd founded and led RiverStone Design Group, a sustainable urban design firm in Park City, Utah responsible for several groundbreaking projects throughout the intermountain west. His background also includes extensive public sector experience, which continues to guide his collaborative and service-based approach.
Todd has a Master of Arts in Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning from Tufts University and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and Philosophy from Saint Lawrence University.
Russell Head
Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Ruselll holds over two decades of experience, including successfully leading substantial sales growth across several companies. An established executive leader and corporate speaker, Head will be responsible for marketing and sales coordination and oversight.
Head joins Hampshire Power from SolarBuddy/Barefoot Citizens, where he served as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and General Manager of the global nonprofit. Previously, Head served as CEO of Andeler Power, CRO of Himagine Solutions, and VP of Residential Sales at Green Mountain Energy. Additionally, Head remains active as a corporate speaker with a focus on social justice, sustainability, and enhancing company culture to reflect global interconnectivity and purpose.
Sarah Dallas
Director of Operations
Sarah holds a Master of Science degree in Environmental Management from Duke University Nicholas School of the Environment and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business. As an accomplished operations manager with deep experience across multiple energy services, Dallas will be responsible for building systems and technology that facilitates scale and market expansion.
Before joining Hampshire Power, Sarah served as Senior Merchant Operations Manager at Upside (formally GetUpside) where she worked to implement new initiatives to help grow the business and launch new sites for the technology startup. Previously, she developed and launched Arcadia Power’s residential brokerage platform and served as Operations Manager for Nextility. Prior to those roles, Sarah worked at Washington Gas as a Sustainability Specialist, managing its internal corporate sustainability program.
John Allario
Chief Financial Officer
John brings over twenty years of experience in the retail and wholesale energy marketplace serving most recently as CFO of Actual Energy Inc., a start-up, New England-based, retail electric provider. John’s key experience includes securing medium-term funding facilities for energy providers and projects and building teams during periods of rapid growth.
Prior to Actual Energy, John was a founder and Vice President of Finance for Mint Energy LLC, a retail electric supplier serving commercial and industrial customers in over 20 markets in ISO-NE and PJM. John played an essential role in the company’s growth by leading the implementation and financial management of its wholesale supply and funding relationships and by assisting with the expansion of its commercial footprint and product offerings. Prior to Mint Energy, John lead Patriot Energy Group’s retail natural gas and electric brokerage operations, where his front and back-office leadership propelled Patriot to become a dominant energy broker in New England. Prior to Patriot Energy, John co-managed Sempra Energy Trading’s retail energy supply and finance group.
John received his undergraduate degree in Accounting from Georgetown University and his MBA in Finance from Fordham University.
Prashant Mupparapu
Principal Advisor
Prashant joins Hampshire Power having spent decades in investment management and strategy development in the Infrastructure and Real Estate sectors. He built and led investment teams that provided over $10 billion of structured private capital to companies in the power & renewables, transportation & logistics, and digital infrastructure.
Prashant joined Owl Rock Capital, a leading alternative asset manager with approximately $20 Billion AUM to lead the build-out of a private debt business. Previously, he was with Macquarie for over a decade, where he built and oversaw a team that originated and managed a portfolio of investments and project finance loans. Also, Prashant provided advice on asset valuation, risk management, and M&A diligence to Fortune 500 companies in the energy and utility sectors.
He received a Master’s of Business Administration from the Stern School of Business at New York University and a Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.

David Ellis
Managing Director
David is a highly experienced solar professional and seasoned business veteran. David honed his business acumen and pursued his life-long passion for creating value within business relationships based on trust as a serial entrepreneur. David’s greatest satisfaction in his professional life is to develop long-term relationships between customers, suppliers, service providers, and vendors.
Before co-founding MassAmerican Energy and taking on the role of its Managing Director, David established the largest residential solar sales and installation company on the East Coast, growing Next Step Living’s business from zero to $50 million per year and overseeing over 100 residential solar installations per month.
David started his solar career with SunRun over a decade ago and led its expansion into East Coast markets by creating effective partnerships with all major suppliers, installers, and developers.
Quincy Vale
Benefits Director
Quincy serves as the Benefits Director for Hampshire Power and is a Co-Founder and Manager at MassAmerican Energy, LLC. with primary responsibility for the business development and oversight of all trading activities. By background, Quincy is a serial entrepreneur, lawyer, and general contractor, with a specialty in financial, regulatory, and technical work. Quincy has been in the solar business since 1995, working on policy, economics, and installations with the Massachusetts DPU and the Renewable Energy Trust Fund. As an attorney with Vale Law LLC, Quincy has worked as counsel for myriad energy companies on clean energy and green building projects, including permitting through financing, construction, regulatory to maintenance & operations.
Quincy earned his undergraduate degree in engineering from Dartmouth College and holds postgraduate degrees from Yale University’s School of Management (M.B.A.), Union University’s Albany Law School (J.D.), and Vermont Law School (M.S.E.L.). Quincy is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts, New York, and Connecticut, and before the United States Supreme Court. He is also a licensed real estate broker, and construction supervisor, MA CS # 093511.
