The CSS Business Development Manager is responsible for the acquisition of new CSS opportunities across multiple markets. This is a great opportunity for an IPP-facing sales representative to expand their career into a leadership position. This position has tremendous upside and career advancement opportunity.
This position works under the direct supervision of the Company’s President and CEO and the VP of Sales and Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Source Community Solar projects at various stages of the development lifecycle
  • Build and manage relationships with solar developers, consultants, and EPC partners to
    source acquisition opportunities
  • Work with Hampshire Power’s technology team to implement software solutions for
    managing customer and developer life cycles
  • Work with Hampshire Power’s finance and legal teams to enable successful negotiation
    of agreements with asset developers and owners
  • Manage clients through the development/acquisition process as required for the success
    of Community Solar projects
  • Research and track relevant market policies and legislation to identify market
    opportunities
  • Participate in industry policy groups as necessary
  • Monitor designated market regulations and policies and perform market analysis
    Qualifications
  • 3+ years of relevant sales experience
  • Demonstrated track record of structuring Community Solar agreements with developers,
    IPPs, asset owners
  • Familiarity with terms and conditions and structuring of major solar project
    documentation, including interconnections, utility program requirements, PPA offtake or
    subscription agreements, etc.
  • Familiarity with Community Solar sales processes, customer management processes,
    and supporting technology platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrable ability to
    understand and communicate technical concepts
  • Excellent organizational abilities; able to focus on details while managing multiple
    projects
  • Able to thrive in a highly entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong understanding of Excel-based financial modeling

Salary: $75,000-95,000/year + Commissions + Bonus + Profit Share
